The new Companies Act, to come into operation in 2010, will affect every existing company, its directors and shareholders. A practical mechanism through which managers can improve their own ability
The important role that managers play in ensuring overall company performance cannot be underestimated. The main function of a manager is to create an environment in which employees can perform to the best of their ability.
The Management Feedback Cards is a great tool follow-on for the Managing with Intent Seminar. It is practical and applicable. The system was compiled by Ian Mann from busines studies conducted over a number of years. It provides a measurable result and is implemented with ease.
Managerial performance is dependent on frequent, objective and accurate feedback from employees. Therefore a toolkit was developed through which managers can get much needed feedback on a regular basis. Employees get the opportunity to rate their manager on a monthly basis through scoring five statements on each card. The manager is provided with a practical set of "solutions" on CD to address each item on the card.
The employee will receive a new card with five new statements on a monthly basis. The following criteria will influence the success of the feedback process:
